What we’ve loved in London this week…

A big part of mine and Letty’s job is managing and updating deVOL’s social media sites each day and it’s so much fun. Interacting with everyone and seeing each site grow day by day is the best feeling. deVOL’s Instagram page has gone particularly crazy lately, we’ve gained so many followers we can’t quite believe it! We love sharing beautiful images of our kitchens with you (and it’s looking like you’re really liking them too!) but we thought it would be pretty cool to share a bit more than just lovely kitchen pictures.
Working in the beautiful area of Clerkenwell in London means we have new things and places and buildings to fall in love with each day, we’re so lucky. We’re always snapping away on our phones when we spot something we like the look of, or visit a yummy new restaurant or cute shop… and we thought we really should be sharing these finds and photographs. So… we came up with the idea to start our little #LovedinLondon series across social media, to share all of our fave bits about this crazy cool city with you.
Each day, or thereabouts, we’ll share one thing that we’ve loved in London and tag it with the hashtag #LovedinLondon on our Instagram page (psssstt… loved is deVOL backwards!!) Maybe we’ll give you an idea of a quirky new restaurant to try on your next visit to London or maybe you’ll just enjoy scrolling through the photos we take, either way we hope you enjoy exploring this incredible city with us.
I thought I’d share our first week of favourite London things on the blog with you today, just incase you missed them on our social media pages…
1. Blackfoot
These guys serve up some of the best Pork in town from this cute little spot just down the road from our showroom. Our favourite is the pulled pork bun, so tender and smokey… you’ve got to check this one out!

2. Borough Market
We had to snap this mountain of mushrooms spotted at Borough market! This market is totally jam packed with quality British and International produce. And if you’re into trying out some new and unusual foods, this is the place to be!

3. Botanique Workshop
This little crate of succulents and bunch of pretty purple flowers looked perfect sitting outside Botanique Workshop on Exmouth Market. Botanique Workshop is a new artisan shop, it sells the most lovely hand picked bouquets of flowers, unusual cards, books and jewellery too.

4. Our little showroom
This wouldn’t be a post about loving London without including a picture of our showroom, would it!? I love this little spot where our shaker shelves sit, featuring cute cacti from our fave plant shop Botany, vintage printing blocks and old ceramic pots.

5. Bourne & Hollingsworth
We love the dark painted bricks and beautiful big windows at our favourite Clerkenwell Brunch spot, Bourne & Hollingsworth. The french toast with bacon and maple syrup is so good!!
