simple – sleek – shaker

Some lovely images from our latest photo shoot, introducing ‘The Nursery Kitchen’ a lovely example of deVOLs real shaker cabinets in our new favourite colour Damask and the close runner up and even more popular Lead.
This kitchen is owned by a lovely couple who have created a sleek and sophisticated kitchen with their choice of classic colours and materials. The use of both honed black granite and Lagoon Silestone (on the Island) give a luxurious and bespoke feel to the room. Choosing the understated brushed steel handles and knobs from our standard range is a clever move, its this part of our Shaker kitchens that I love, the combinations of cupboards, worktops and accessories can acheive so many different looks. Some people like to choose everything from us because they trust our taste and love the way the combinations work, others like to use our simple beautifully made cupboards as the base for their kitchen, they then source thier own worktops, find vintage taps and just make the room individual. Either way it works, its great we appeal to so many people with different tastes, wide ranging budgets and live in all sorts of houses and flats and warehouses.
Sadly we didn’t get a good shot of the awesome ‘Wolf cooker’ that is hiding behind the Island, but it really was a beast of a cooker in a very good way.
The house was full of the most beautiful oriental things, from incredibly old paintings and furniture to contemporary ceramics and pottery. We had a lovely time being shown around this house and a lifetimes collection of incredible objects. We pinched a few to put in the photoshoot and these little lifestyle shots have become my favourites from the shoot.
