deVOL directory: The Barnsbury Islington Kitchen

The Barnsbury Islington kitchen by deVOL sits in a beautiful flat-fronted Georgian terrace, so close to the hustle and bustle and craziness of the city, yet it seemed a total world away. The kitchen was nestled down in the basement of this four story period property, but the whole space was still flooded with the most beautiful light and warmth. You could look up through the sash window and see people’s feet right above your head, you were able to peep out and watch the world go by, but still be hidden from view… kind of a strange but lovely feeling. This room oozes a sense of calm and tranquility, there’s not too much going on, just a small and really well-considered selection of beautiful and practical things, I really like that.
We’ve been receiving lots and lots of questions about this kitchen on our social media pages, so I’ve written up a little deVOL directory which I hope will answer all of your questions. The cupboards are from deVOL’s Real Shaker Kitchen range, and here’s some info on the rest…
