Blur between inside and out
4th June 2013
Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto has created this stunning pavilion for the Serpentine Gallery, in Kensington Gardens. Fujimoto was inspired by the beauty of the gardens and wanted to create “somewhere between architecture and nature”. This bold idea creates spaces that blur out into sky with walls hard to see. Its a great idea and one where spaces will change character due to weather but also from different view points and heights. There is a sense that you can explore the space a little like climbing a tree with no defined walls or corridors to channel everyone through.
