This year at 100% Design we launched the production version of the Air Kitchen to a buzz of fantastic feedback. It was great to show people around the kitchen and talk to them about the inspiration behind the kitchen. We also found many people had seen the kitchen last year and had come back to see how it had evolved. Our initial feeling is that this years show has created more leads than last years and we have already had people asking to arrange a design consolation. To accompany the Air kitchen we also launched a concept air table, which attracted attention due to it quirky design.

In the breaks from the stand it was interesting to look around the show at the varied ideas from all around the world. The International pavilion was particularly interesting and diverse. To enclose the seminar and talks Benjamin Hurburt designed the screening at 100% Design. It was made up of 48,000 parts each clicking together to form a visual barrier and enclosed space. Due to the vast waste that shows produce Benjamin Hurbert designed the screen so towards the end of the show it was taken apart with each cluster of parts given out as a souvenir.

One of the great things about wood is that it can be reuse and remade, but the horror of pack down is that many companies do not and just scrap the stand. Our stand flooring and the back walls have now become a wood rack and spray booth for our two new worktops at Cotes Mill.
