The Suffolk Dairy

This new Sebastian Cox Kitchen holds a special place in our hearts, it has become something of a legend since its appearance in our latest TV series ‘For The Love Of Kitchens'. Everyone fell for the restoration of this ancient barn in the Suffolk countryside and how the owners, David and Alastair, took this incredibly beautiful derelict farm building and turned it into the most amazing home.

Every tiny piece of the building has been treated with respect and integrity, its rural charm has been treasured and brought back to life in a painstaking renovation full of careful and time-consuming decisions.

The kitchen is tucked away at the end of the barn in the original milking parlour, the beams and brick flooring are all original, the choice of Sebastian Cox cupboards is the perfect touch of clean contemporary style with a rustic charm that is so right for this building. We can’t think of a better room, building or home to show this kitchen range at its very best, it has brought the old and the new together perfectly as only the Sebastian Cox cupboards can.

It’s a simple layout; huge island, a clean straight run with a classic Smeg range cooker and no wall cupboards, allowing the beauty of the ancient structure to shine through without hampering a modern lifestyle.
