Truly luxurious sinks designed to last a lifetime by deVOL. These beautiful stone sinks are each machined from a single block of fine Italian marble and given a crisp honed finish. A marble sink, as with all marble products, is not for those who want immaculate surfaces forever; this beautiful stone ages and takes on character, it can mark and age quickly, but once over the initial settling in, this stone is forever.
Arabescato marble is quarried in Tuscany, Italy, and is a highly figured natural stone that has prominent veining that can vary dramatically. It is bold and striking, which is what makes it such a special stone.
Basket waste strainer and overflow kit supplied separately.
Italian marble sinks, by deVOL
We are very happy to finally have a range of marble sinks to offer our customers, we have always loved the aged beauty of old Italian marble sinks and to be able to re-create this look in your deVOL Kitchen is such an exciting prospect for us. The look works perfectly with all of our kitchen cupboards and finished with a marble worktop is a really special option, however a smart hardwood worktop can look equally desirable.
The sinks are currently made to order at the quarry in Carrara, Italy. Each sink is machined from a single block of fine Italian marble, either Carrara or Arabescato Corchia, and is then hand-finished for a crisp honed surface. This allows the beautiful natural veining of the marble to curve up the sides and over the edges of the sink bowl seamlessly and without any of the unsightly sealant that you might get with a slab-built sink. Carrara marble, as with all marble products, is not for those who want immaculate surfaces forever; this beautiful stone ages and takes on character, it can mark and age quickly, but once over the initial settling in, this stone is forever. Homes and businesses have used Carrara marble for centuries and it has survived to look even more beautiful. So if you are the kind of person who loves natural and can handle the nuances this stone offers, then you will be rewarded with an incredibly tough and beautiful sink that will only get better with time and use. Our Arabescato marble sink, on the other hand, is quite a statement; the rich dark grey veining looks stunning and the creamy whites feel really sumptuous. The Arabescato, whilst a little more adventurous than Carrara, is just as robust and will also age perfectly with use.
It took us months of trial and error to get the designs and proportions just right, but we couldn’t be happier with the results. We’ve been lucky enough to sell our marble sinks to customers from all over the world and every time a new sink arrives at the mill, we get to crack open the crate and take the first excited peak inside. It’s a truly awesome feeling. If you are interested in this beautiful addition to your kitchen then please contact
