Amber, another wonderfully bold-coloured glass to add to our frilly light collection. Amber naturally occurs when resin from the bark of pine and fir trees hardens over thousands of years. It is used in jewellery and precious objects because of its authentic warm glow and translucent quality. Our frilly shades are not real amber, they are made from a deep rich glass that is slumped and fired. During this process, the glass collects tiny bubbles, texture and minute imperfections that make it feel organic and natural.

Amber appealed to us so much, a warm glow is always a welcome sight in a home. It is also a surprisingly easy colour to integrate into your existing decor, midway between orange and yellow, amber just seems to work every time.
