This unique and rather ornate-looking catch was inspired by an old catch found on a vintage cupboard by Robin, our Managing Director. We all loved the original one as much as Robin and once we had redesigned certain aspects, it became clear it was going to be a very special deVOL catch.

What we particularly like about The Rack & Pinion is its ability to look and feel old, authentic, and beautifully solid and sturdy. Buy just one and put it on a vintage cupboard and you instantly have a very smart-looking cupboard or include it on one of our curiosity cupboards or sink cabinets and it adds a really unusual touch.

We see this as a special catch which does not need to be fitted onto several cupboards, in fact on the contrary, using it sparingly just adds to its appeal.
