The deVOL Task Light has become rather iconic since its launch a couple of years ago, we think it’s the unique scale and elegance of the aged brass arm and the way it works so beautifully in rooms with high ceilings.

Knowing its popularity, we decided to add another option. The Milk Glass Task Light features a very fine translucent conical shade that is supremely simple and delicate, clasped between the aged brass screws of an airy gallery.

This milk glass option gives an ethereal glow around the shade, emitting a wonderfully warm light, it almost feels like sunshine. Each shade is individually mouth-blown using glass with oxides and opacifiers added to give the milky translucent finish.

This light would work perfectly in all rooms where you have a good ceiling height and want to create atmosphere and a soft warm glow with a very substantial light fitting and traditional look. These task lights were used in the huge kitchens of Victorian stately homes to cast directional light with a practical, easy to keep clean ceramic or glass shade.
