The Kent Kitchen
Open living in a barn, views across the Kent countryside that would rival anything in Tuscany and a super cool Sebastian Cox Kitchen to finish off this rural idyll. This home was big and its owners' effortless and easy attitude to décor were really lovely to see and gave the home so much character, it’s so nice to see interesting and personal treasures taking pride of place, things that are special and mean something rather than just filling your home with specifically chosen items to give a look. It’s always these kitchens that attract the most attention from our customers because they look so unique and unstyled and fill people with inspiration and ideas.
This is the second Sebastian Cox Kitchen this couple have bought, you may remember the Clerkenwell Apartment, well it’s those guys at it again, making everything look so easy.
The open feel of the island is elegant yet very functional with deep drawers that hold a lot of stuff and works so nicely as a place to perch or prep the dinner. Islands with a little space and light around them are always the best, they don’t look boxy or clumsy but more delicate and as they should look, like an island!
The Sebastian Cox cupboards are certainly proving to be something the discerning customer is drawn to, someone who likes something a little different, impeccably made and with a little more than a passing interest in where the things you have in your home come from. It’s becoming more important to us all to look after our world and cherish the beauty of nature and not be wasteful or throwaway, the Sebastian Cox range epitomises this way of thinking and living. English timber, cupboards built here in Leicestershire, a lightness of design that is not fashionable, more a lasting piece of furniture that will age beautifully.
