Sometimes the only word you can think of is ‘wow’, well that’s the feeling we had when we walked into this very cool Brooklyn house, just a few steps from the magnificent Prospect Park.

Firstly, it was huge in every way, the doors, the rooms, the windows, the original features, and secondly, it has the most fabulous Classic English Kitchen.

The kitchen and dining room were in one large space at the back of the house and mixed original furniture, vintage pieces and new deVOL cupboards together, creating a very sumptuous kitchen. The central island was half vintage and half deVOL, wrapped in a bespoke copper worktop with an integrated sink and drainer.

Stepping through the ornate wooden doorway, you find yourself in a floor-to-ceiling room of bright blue Classic deVOL cupboards, a marble chequerboard floor and an Arabescato sink. Another wow, but this time in a much bolder way, this pantry-cum-cocktail bar was a little piece of crazy glamour all tucked away and secret. It was the most fabulous space and a testament to our New York Showroom Manager, Paul, and the customers’ brave but very clever ideas.

Bespoke colours and cabinetry, this deVOL kitchen has skillfully incorporated our furniture into this very special home. Our Classic cupboards were built for Victorian and Georgian homes and this one in Brooklyn is no exception. It is so great to see how well they work and how our customers are embracing the look and working alongside our Bond Street designers to bring English-made cupboards into their homes.
